When I first presented on AI at the State Department’s OSAC Annual Briefing, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Rather than talk about big picture risks, I took a very practical “how to” approach that borrowed from my own experience as a product leader. I showed how to safely practice with generative AI to gain hands-on experience, understand its risks and apply it effectively in security and risk intelligence.
I was blown away by the positive response from security leaders at all levels. WIth so many requests to hold another session, we’re offering two free online events on April 8-9. While they reprise much of the OSAC presentation, they’ll be updated with new information throughout:
- Secure best practices for using AI safely
- Practical examples in writing, reporting, analysis, OSINT and more
- Useful prompts and common pitfalls to avoid
- How to keep an eye out for AI-generated fakes
- A look ahead at AI’s evolving role in security
These sessions should run 60 minutes, but may run longer with questions. Please register below:
Practical intro to AI for global security on April 8th, 11 am ET / 8 am PT
Practical intro to AI for global security on April 9th, 4 pm ET / 1 pm PT
I look forward to seeing on online. In the meantime, take a look at the AI Guide for Risk Intelligence, which you can download for free.
